Big Bang is gemaakt voor de 62 Group tentoonstelling in Salts Mill in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. Het thema van deze tentoonsteling was Making as Learning. Hoe je al makend iets nieuws kunt leren dus. Mijn werk komt voort uit de vle artikelen die ik voor Quiltnieuws schreef over nieuwe technieken. Natuurlijk was ik lekker aan het experimenteren voor deze artiekelen en als gevolg daarvan had ik (nog steeds) vele proeflapjes waar ik nog niets mee gedaan had. Deze zijn nu onderdeel geworden van Big Bang.
Big Bang was created for the 62 Group exhibition at Salts Mill in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. The theme of this exhibition was Making as Learning. How you can learn something new while making it. My work stems from the many articles I wrote for Quiltnieuws about new techniques. Of course I was experimenting for these items and as a result I (still) had many samples that I had not done anything with yet. These have now become part of Big Bang.
